Scituate High School was recognized as Rhode Island’s best public school at the Providence Journal’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards. All public schools in Rhode Island were eligible for this recognition, and the winner was decided by voting in the Best Public High School category.
“Our whole community - students, teachers, staff, and residents - takes enormous pride in the opportunities and education we offer at our high school, so to be recognized for our efforts by members of the entire Rhode Island community we serve is a true honor,” said Scituate High School Principal Michael Hassell. “We thank everyone in the Scituate community for their dedication, creativity, and efforts to help our students achieve their goals in and out of school, and we thank the readers who voted for us as the best public high school in the state of Rhode Island.”
Scituate High School earned the #1 Ranking in the category of “Best Public School” based on readers’ votes in the 2020 Reader’s Choice Awards. Recognizing the “best our community has to offer,” the Readers’ Choice Awards winners are selected by Providence Journal readers and other voters, and include local organizations, businesses, and schools in a wide variety of categories. The winners were announced on Thursday, August 27, during a virtual ceremony.
