Over the last few weeks, students in Introduction to Engineering Design have learned how to use Computer Aided Design by following instructions to build a tank. In the process of building the tank, students were required to learn and regularly use terms like "extrude," "loft," "concentric," "helix," and "tangent," among others. As students got further into the project, they were given more independent challenges and the ability to customize their tank.

On Wednesday students had the opportunity to visit the New England Laborers Training Academy in Pomfret, where they learned about internship opportunities, received a tour of the 114-acre private campus, and took part in hands-on learning experiences!
