While we are certainly disappointed that someone as talented, dedicated, and forward-thinking as Assistant Superintendent Azi Noorbaloochi is moving on, we understand that new opportunities bring new challenges and chances for growth. During her time in Scituate, Azi has made a tremendous impact, supporting instructional excellence, leading critical district initiatives, and consistently advocating for what is best for students. We are grateful for her leadership and wish her continued success in all that lies ahead.
Her departure comes at a unique moment for the district, as Superintendent Andries is currently on leave. The School Committee is actively evaluating all options to ensure continuity and strong leadership throughout this transition. We remain fully committed to making the best choices for our students, staff, and families.
We are also working diligently to strengthen our Central Office team. We have completed interviews for a new Facilities Director and are in the final stages of reviewing candidates. We hope to extend an offer soon and will share more information once the position has been filled.
Similarly, we are moving forward with the search for a permanent Finance Director. In the interim, TMS will support our business office operations. TMS has been providing experienced, licensed school finance professionals to districts across New England since 2005 and will serve as a short-term solution while we work to to find the the next director of finance and administration for Scituate.
Through each of these transitions, our commitment remains unchanged: we will continue to ensure that our students, teachers, and staff have the strong leadership, support, and resources needed to thrive.
