In Principles of Engineering, students have been learning about simple machines: levers, pulleys, ramps, and the like that generate mechanical advantage. Aiden Lobao demonstrated just how much rope one needs to take up on a complex pulley system to take advantage of that mechanical advantage.
Senior Night was early this year for our Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Teams. They celebrated with a wonderful gathering after their meet. Congratulations Seniors!!

Last week the Boys' Soccer Team hosted Prout. They showed grit and came out with a 2-0 win! Both goals were scored by Jason Bettez with assists by Noah Bradford and Bryant Amaral. Great job Spartans!

How difficult is it to dissolve sugar, salt, or baking soda in cold or hot water? It's not! However, students in Physical Science are investigating these phenomena using the scientific method within a guided inquiry format, which can be difficult! Developing a scientific question, hypothesis, and procedures in a novel situation is one of the foundations for success in this course and future science courses.
The Boys Soccer Team played Times 2 Academy at Caito last week and the boys came out with a bang and ended with a 14-0 win!
Members of the biomedical pathway have had a busy first two weeks of school! Our newest members of the pathway opened letters of encouragement from the juniors and seniors, and our Human Body Systems students began the year by creating a honeycomb puzzle that showed relationships between body systems.
