Scituate triumphed over South Kingstown tonight in their first win of the season. They took the lead in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on two hits, making the score 5-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Tori Geisser that drove in three. A single by Haley Nickerson extended the Scituate Varsity Spartans lead to 6-4 in the bottom of the third inning. Tori Geisser started and ended the game, giving up six hits and five runs overall, striking out seven and walking four. The game was called in the 5th due to rain. 📷✏️ K Rambone

Hope students have done an incredible job earning Husky Bucks for being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn this month! Students have had the opportunity to cash in their Husky Bucks at their school store (Thank you to our parent volunteers. The store couldn't run without you!). They also had the opportunity to save up and buy a special admission ticket to an event with Xen's Critters. Students and staff alike loved snuggling and reading to the animals!

Congratulations to our 7th grade chorus for placing second at the Middle School Choral Festival! The judges were particularly impressed to hear that they've only been singing together since September. Special thanks to Ms. Norton for pushing these young performers!

High school students in Physical Science have been learning about magnetism and were presented with five challenges. The culminating portion of their investigation challenged them to design, build, and test a magnetically powered vehicle and then maneuver it through a course requiring forward and reverse motion AND be able to turn left and right.

Do you have feedback for the Scituate School Department? We want to hear it! This survey will take between 15-20 minutes to complete. When filling out this survey, you will ONLY fill out the parts that apply to you. For example, if you indicate that you have children at Clayville and at the middle school, you will only fill out those sections (and will not be shown the sections for the other schools). https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Scituate-Parent-Survey

Attention Scituate families! We are conducting a survey to find out from our families how you perceive the schools that your children attend. In some ways, this overlaps with the Survey Works questionnaire, but it goes into more detail because, as a school department, we want to know from you what we're doing well and what we could do better! This survey is anonymous and specifically designed for parents and guardians with students in our schools. The survey will be open for approximately two weeks and will close on Monday, April 21, 2025. We hope you can take the time to give us this important feedback! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Scituate-Parent-Survey

Students in US History II Honors made their teacher extremely proud when they held an empathetic and professional interview with Rena Quint, Holocaust Survivor, and author of “A Daughter of Many Mothers”. This journey began with an in-depth reading of her autobiography. Students responded to high-level reading comprehension and critical thinking questions surrounding Rena’s gripping life story. The culminating activity happened last week when students were able to talk to Rena Quint directly from her home in Jerusalem, Israel via Zoom. Topics discussed included the Holocaust, Holocaust denial, perseverance, resilience, the ongoing conflict with Gaza, and her formal meeting with President Joe Biden two summers ago. Students were inspired by her resilience and willingness to open up and communicate with them about her experiences and life in general.
