Congratulations to Spartan Pride recipient, Robin Bragger! Robin always has a smile on her face and is friendly to all students. She's welcoming to younger students, and she enjoys working with the elderly at her after-school job. In Working With Children, the students work with Mrs. Clark's students setting up and running a small business. Robin showed enthusiasm when working with the middle schoolers and her energy encouraged them to complete tasks that they were hesitate to complete. Thanks for being a Spartan, Robin!

Dom has done so much for our school without ever looking for any credit, like starting an after-school Middle School volleyball club, running the morning show, volunteering at events and fundraising. HOSA 2024/25 Board members had a great time volunteering at the Lions Scholarship breakfast last week!
Students in Medical Interventions are working on a unit about preventing cancer. In this lab, students expose 2 strains of yeast to UV light to see the effect. Next, students will design an experiment to try to determine the best way to protect the yeast from UV damage.
Congratulations to the middle school track athletes who competed at States on Sunday! We had 5 girls who competed: Sophia L, Addy B, Liliana B, Elin D, and Roma D. The boys finished in 6th place out of the entire state!! Competing were Lucas B, Joey J, Logan W, Kole Y, Oliver R, Chris D, Andrew B, and Jackson Downs.
Helping to secure 6th place were: Oliver who placed 2nd in the 400 & 800 and 5th in the long jump; Chris who placed 3rd in the long jump and the boys 4x400 team of Chris, Joey, Andrew and Oliver who placed 4th!

The Rhode Island Council for the Arts sponsored a fully funded field trip for students in US History II Honors to visit the Breakers in Newport! Students were highly intrigued by the architecture, art, and history of the gilded age. As always, student behavior was impeccable; they represented Scituate High School admirably!
Some of our students shared their thoughts with us after the trip, here's how they felt:
“The Breaker Mansion is a marvelous sight to be seen. The mansion’s architecture and artistry are embodied by pure elegance. That elegance flourished through the years and remains a spectacle to this day.” - Julienne Gomez
“The amount of detail put in each room of The Breakers was truly impressive. The fact that this home was only used during the summer and considered a “cottage” by the Vanderbilt family seems shocking by today’s standards.” -William Polouski
“It was amazing to see all the architectural styles and all the art. Learning that they imported many things from other countries and embraced other cultures in the style of the house was interesting. My favorite part of the house was the grand staircase with a tapestry of the story of Alexander the Great with a beautiful stained glass ceiling.” -Jessica Adams
Hope Elementary School had so much fun at Field Day yesterday! Students played lots of outdoor games and enjoyed the sunshine.
Students in US History II Honors engaged in a mock trial of Julius Streicher’s Trial at Nuremberg for conspiracy and crimes against humanity! Students reviewed Nazi records and examples of propaganda from the German newspaper “Der Sturmer” that Julius Streicher was the founder, publisher and editor of. Students came away with a deep understanding of Robert’s Rules of Order for a courtroom. The enthusiasm during this activity for understanding history, and court procedures was outstanding!
Last night, North Scituate Elementary had their student art on display for families and friends during the school's Art Night event! Students also had the opportunity to show friends and family members our STEAM showcase. We also had a book fair, chorus concert, and even a food truck. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and enjoyed this super fun night!
